You will recover in our post-anesthesia care (PACU) area where a nurse will monitor you as you wake from anesthesia.

Rest and Recovery:

  • It’s essential to get plenty of rest during the initial phase of recovery
  • Avoid strenuous activities and heavy lifting as advised by your surgeon

Medication Management:

Wound Care:

  • Keep the surgical site clean and dry
  • Follow any specific wound care instructions provided by your surgeon

Diet and Hydration:

  • Maintain a healthy, balanced diet to support healing
  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, unless otherwise advised by your surgeon

Follow-up Appointments:

  • Attend all follow-up appointments scheduled with your surgeon
  • Report any unusual symptoms or concerns during these visits

Activity Restrictions:

  • Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery while taking prescription pain medication
  • Gradually ease back into your normal activities as tolerated and as advised by your surgeon
