You will recover in our post-anesthesia care (PACU) area where a nurse will monitor you as you wake from anesthesia.
Rest and Recovery:
- It’s essential to get plenty of rest during the initial phase of recovery
- Avoid strenuous activities and heavy lifting as advised by your surgeon
Medication Management:
- Take your prescribed medications as directed by your surgeon

Wound Care:
- Keep the surgical site clean and dry
- Follow any specific wound care instructions provided by your surgeon
Diet and Hydration:
- Maintain a healthy, balanced diet to support healing
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, unless otherwise advised by your surgeon
Follow-up Appointments:
- Attend all follow-up appointments scheduled with your surgeon
- Report any unusual symptoms or concerns during these visits
Activity Restrictions:
- Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery while taking prescription pain medication
- Gradually ease back into your normal activities as tolerated and as advised by your surgeon
